2025- Michele’s Version: The year of both life and professional change. The year of not having the flexibility with my schedule like I used to to add on a session at the end of the day for my clients, the year of not having the presence around the office like I used to for our team, the year of having to say “sorry, I can’t”. The year of not being able to market and make creative social media posts like I used to, the year I was quiet in the community. The year of slowing down and the concept of time being different than ever before. The year of having difficulty concentrating, being easily overstimulated and adjusting to my brain being different than it used to be. The year of being a toddler (really tiny teenager 🙃) mom. The year of a tiny human watching and learning from every move I make. The year of beautiful moments. The year of picture books and the park. The year of giggles and games. The year of hopping like a bunny. The year of little play dates. The year of gratitude in a different way. The year of being amazed by the strength, smarts and willpower in the tiniest, most adorable little body. The year of hard, challenge, and yet the most beautiful change in my life in every way imaginable… the year of our daughter coming first and everything else after and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 💜🫒🥹
👉P.S: Charlie is right there with us too! Would never leave my first bestie out. 🙂

New Team Member: Meet Elfie, the emotional support Elf. He’s a seasonal employee residing in Sam’s office. A little mischievous, but we understand he’s wired a little differently so giving him a fair shot to change his reputation 🙃

It’s easy to get wrapped up (no pun intended 🙃) on the “stuff”; the gifts, the decor, the pictures. The truth is that kids won’t remember those things... they’ll remember the simple things, the family moments and experiences, and how they felt. Place your emphasis and intentions there and that’s the real recipe for kids to have a happy holiday season… even if things are really hard in your families life these days. 🤍

What’s normal these days is actually really bad for your Mental Health. No wonder there is an increase across the board for all ages in depression, anxiety, social anxiety, loneliness and substance use… we strongly recommend trying to reduce these behaviors👇
.
Bed Rotting: Laying in bed for hours at a time and calling it “self care”
.
Doom Scrolling: Falling into the black hole of social media any free moment
.
Dopamine Chasing: Constantly going towards what feels good in the moment for quick hits of pleasure or relief
.
Analysis Paralysis: Spending so much time overthinking that you’re missing out on the present moment
.
Phantom App Checking: Constantly checking apps, with or without notifications out of pure autopilot habit

No matter what your Thanksgiving looks like- small family, chosen family, large family, no family, solo with Chinese food… we hope it’s a peaceful one. Happy Thanksgiving to all, and to all of you who have a hard time today, and to those with empty seats around your table… we see you. We’re so grateful to be the people you talk to about the things you might not talk about with anyone else. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.🖤🧡

Having a really cool moment. Olive and I are on pick up duty for Toby (he’s leaving his shift early 😂) so we’re waiting in the car for John to bring him out to the car. It’s 5pm, so we’re waiting as people are leaving their 4pm session and coming in for their 5pm. As we wait here… people walking out smiling, kids walking in holding hands with their parent, some looking apprehensive… so many people. One family noticed me parked outside and asked one of our therapists, Nikki, if I was ok because they saw me outside waiting. So many people coming to Blueprint for help, and watching the foot traffic at our front door truly has me in my feelings. John comes down, Toby hops in his Uber (🙃) and Olive feeds John a cheerio from her cup before he runs back up to help the person on his couch. What a beautiful moment to sit and just observe all these people coming to us. How incredible so many people seeking therapy here with our team. What a gift to be able to open these door for everyone….thanks for reading - Michele 🥹🙏💜🖤

We are extremely picky when it comes to what type of decor makes its way into our space here at Blueprint Mental Health. We go far beyond just trying to create a warm and inviting vibe here at 73 West End. We want there to be layers of different pieces that you might not notice your first time in, your second time in or even your third. We want you to be able to notice something new each time you come through and for those things that you notice to be a part of who we actually are. You definitely won’t find a bunch of generic HomeGoods decor just filling up open space here⁣
⁣
Here here’s a photo from John’s office. In this photo you’ll notice:⁣
⁣
1. A vintage pair of hearing protection for shooting that was actually a gift from Jason.⁣
⁣
2. Nicola Tesla and Albert Einstein Saint candles, who are actually two of John’s favorite people⁣
⁣
3. An antique Zenith radio that actually still works. (He collects antiques)⁣
⁣
4. A Romero Britto signed lunch box. A gift from Michele’s mom. ⁣
⁣
What you see is 100% what you get here and we pride ourselves and not just being authentic individuals, but our space also reflecting that authenticity as well. 💙

New client today. Said he’s only looking for one session on October 31 where he can be his true self in a confidential space. Reports anytime he gets close to someone they run away. Reports feeling villainized and wanting to work on resisting impulsive sometimes violent thoughts and urges. Highly motivated for change. Eventually wants to take his mask off. Although slightly intimidating, Sam really helped him out and provided a healthy non judgmental space to process.
👉Therapy Recommendations: Weekly therapy using parts work and EMDR interventions, DBT skills to gain emotion regulation skills, safety plan in place with high risk protocols.
.
Happy Halloween everyone! 🖤👻

We truly take pride and attention to every single detail, from the very first call, to the first time walking in our space, to sitting on our couches in our waiting rooms and all of our offices. The whole experience matters 🖤
